Nissan Magnite Price Hike: Variant Wise Price Changes Explained

Nissan has quietly increased the prices of its Magnite SUV in the Indian market. Following the latest revision, the prices of the Nissan Magnite have increased by Rs. 1,000 to Rs. 3,000, depending on the variant.

The price hike applies to the variants available with both automatic transmission (AT) and manual transmission (MT) powertrain options.

However, while most variants have received a price increase of up to Rs. 3,000, the Magnite Tekna Petrol MT Dual One variant has received a higher hike of Rs. 6,500. This is significantly more than the increase applied to the other variants.

Some Magnite Variants Not Affected

The latest price revision does not apply to the Visia, Visia Plus and Ascanta CNG variants. This includes both MT and AMT versions of the applicable CNG variants.

For a long time, the Magnite has been one of Nissan`s key models for attracting customers to its showrooms. The company has now expanded its lineup with models such as the Gravite MPV, Tekton and X-Trail SUV, although these models are currently available in smaller numbers.

Engine Options and Rivals

The Nissan Magnite is available with two petrol engine options. Both engines are offered with manual and automatic transmission choices. The naturally aspirated (NA) petrol engine is also available with a CNG option.

Similar to the Kiger, Nissan is expected to update the Magnite after the company introduces its new Bridget sub compact SUV.

The Nissan Magnite competes with models such as the Tata Punch, Hyundai Exter, Maruti Suzuki Swift, Hyundai Grand i10, Renault Triber and Gravite MPV.
