Special Metro Train Timetable for Vinayagar Chaturthi on August 27

On account of Vinayagar Chaturthi, which falls on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, Chennai Metro Rail has announced changes to its service schedule. A Saturday timetable will be followed tomorrow.

Metro services will operate from 5:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. with the following frequency:

- Peak Hours (8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. & 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.) – Trains every 6 minutes

- Non-Peak Hours (5:00 a.m. – 8:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. & 8:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.) – Trains every 7 minutes

- Extended Non-Peak Hours (10:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.) – Trains every 15 minutes

Commuters are advised to plan their travel accordingly as large crowds are expected at key stations during the festival.
