Dearness Allowance up by 2% for state government employees
An order has been released by the state government of Tamil Nadu to increase the Dearness Allowance for the state government employees, teachers, pensioners, and family pensioners from the present 7% to 9%.
In this regard, the Dearness Allowance for the central government employees and the pensioners was increased by 2% as approved during the recent central cabinet ministers� meeting. This rise in DA will be effective from 1st July 2018.
Before this revision, the DA for the employees was at 7% and now it has been increased by 2%.
Accordingly, the DA for the Tamil Nadu State government employees has also been increased by 2% (from 7% to 9%) effective from 1st July 2018.
