Heavy Rain Likely in 7 Tamil Nadu Districts Today; Chennai Rains Expected from June 25

The Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC), Chennai, has forecast heavy rainfall in several parts of Tamil Nadu over the next few days. According to the latest weather advisory, Coimbatore, The Nilgiris, Dindigul, Theni, Sivaganga, Kanyakumari and Madurai districts are likely to receive heavy rain today.

The weather department has also predicted heavy rainfall on June 25 in Tiruvallur, Kancheepuram, Chengalpattu and Ranipet districts. On June 26, heavy showers are expected in The Nilgiris, Coimbatore, Dindigul, Theni, Tenkasi, Tirunelveli and Kanyakumari districts.

The anticipated rainfall is expected to provide relief from warm weather conditions and support water resources across the state. Residents in the affected districts are advised to stay alert and follow weather updates issued by authorities.

The latest forecast comes as monsoon activity continues to strengthen across Tamil Nadu, bringing widespread rain to several western, southern and northern districts.
