Temporary Changes to Chennai Egmore -Puducherry Passenger Train Services

Southern Railway has announced temporary changes to the Chennai Egmore - Puducherry passenger train services due to redevelopment work being carried out at Chennai Egmore Railway Station.

According to the official notification, redevelopment work will be carried out at Chennai Egmore from today until July 24. As a result, the operation of certain passenger trains has been temporarily modified during this period.

Under the revised schedule, the passenger train that normally departs from Chennai Egmore at 6:35 AM for Puducherry will instead depart from Chennai Beach Railway Station at 6:25 AM from tomorrow until July 24.

The train will also halt at all suburban railway stations between Chennai Beach and Tambaram during this period.

Similarly, the passenger train departing from Puducherry at 3:35 PM, which usually terminates at Chennai Egmore, will instead terminate at Chennai Beach Railway Station from today until July 24.

Although most of the redevelopment work at Chennai Egmore is being carried out during night hours, Southern Railway has advised passengers to check the revised train schedule in advance and plan their journeys accordingly.
