Kodaikanal Announces Free Entry to Pillar Rocks, Guna Caves Till May 31

Tourists visiting Kodaikanal have received some good news this summer. The Dindigul district administration has announced free entry to four popular tourist spots managed by the Forest Department from today until May 31.

Visitors can now explore famous attractions like Pillar Rocks, Guna Caves, Pine Forest, and Moir Point without paying any entry fee.

Earlier, tourists had to purchase tickets through a QR code system at these locations. However, the ticket verification process reportedly caused heavy traffic congestion over the past few weeks, leaving tourists stuck on crowded roads for long hours.

To ease traffic and improve the travel experience during the busy holiday season, District Collector Saravanan announced that entry fees would be temporarily waived at these tourist destinations.

The decision has been welcomed by tourists and local visitors, especially as Kodaikanal continues to attract large crowds during the summer holidays. Officials hope the move will help reduce traffic jams and make sightseeing smoother for visitors.
