The city of Coimbatore would be adding one more feather to its cap soon!!
On Thursday, the chief minister of Tamil Nadu Mr. M.K. Stalin would be inaugurating a flyover for public use in Coimbatore. The sensational piece of information is that this flyover would be 10.10km elevated and when opened it would be the longest flyover in TN. The flyover has been named after the highly popular industrialist Mr. G.D. Naidu.
It was later explained by an officer from Highways dept that the flyover would save a lot of time for the commuters. From Uppilipalayam to Goldwin on the highly congested Avinashi Road, the flyover would be present and it would reduce the travel time of the commuters from 45min to just 10min.
The longest flyover in Coimbatore would save time, reduce fuel costs and boost industrial growth of the city. Information is that the construction of this flyover began in 2020 with an estimated amount of Rs 1971.23 cr. There would be 8 ramps present in this flyover with entry/exit ways at Coimbatore international airport, Hope College, Nova India and Anna Statue.
