Tamil Nadu Police SP Transfer List 2026: 15 Officers Transferred, 5 ASPs Promoted

The Tamil Nadu government on Wednesday transferred 15 police officers in the rank of Superintendent of Police (SP) and promoted five Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) to the rank of SP.

Kunal Uttam Shrote, who was serving as the ASP of Ramanathapuram district, has been promoted to SP and appointed as the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Koyambedu, in the Greater Chennai Police.

AC Karthikeyan, formerly the SP of Tiruvannamalai, has been transferred and posted as DCP, Adyar.

VV Geethanjali has been appointed as DCP of the Crime Against Women and Children Wing of the Chennai City Police.

ASP Anshul Nagar has been promoted to SP and posted as DCP (West), Tirunelveli City. ASP Akash Joshi has also been promoted to SP and posted as DCP, Tirupur (South).

ASP Arpita Rajput has been promoted to SP and posted as SP, CB-CID (North Zone). ASP Banavath Aravind has been promoted to SP and appointed as DCP, Tiruchy (North).

SP D Kannan has been appointed as DCP, Headquarters and Administration, at the Tambaram Police Commissionerate, while SP G Stalin has been posted as DCP, Central Crime Branch (CCB), Tambaram Police Commissionerate.

SP A Velmurugan has been appointed as SP (Modernisation) at the Office of the Director General of Police. SP D Ramesh Babu has been posted as Superintendent of Police, Anti-Terrorism Squad, Chennai.

SP P Sundaravadivel has been appointed as DCP (Security), Chennai City Police, while SP K Maheshwari has been posted as DCP, Red Hills, in the Avadi Police Commissionerate.
