Gold prices in Chennai continue to show significant fluctuations. On October 17, the price of gold reached a peak of Rs. 97,600 per sovereign, but by October 28, it had dropped to Rs. 88,600 per sovereign. Since then, the market has been experiencing a persistent up-and-down trend, as investors shift their focus between gold and the stock market.
Yesterday, gold prices fell by Rs. 20 per gram and Rs. 160 per sovereign, bringing the rates down to Rs. 12,000 per gram and Rs. 96,000 per sovereign.
Gold Prices Increase Today
In a fresh development, gold prices have risen again today.
- The price of 22-carat gold jewelry in Chennai has increased by Rs. 320 per sovereign, now selling at Rs. 96,320 per sovereign.
- Per-gram price has risen by Rs. 40, now at Rs. 12,040 per gram.
Silver Prices Also Up
Silver prices have also registered an increase:
- Up by Rs. 3 per gram, now at Rs. 199 per gram.
- Up by Rs. 3,000 per kilogram, now at Rs. 1,99,000 per kilogram.
