Tamil Nadu Weather Update August 2025: Low Pressure in Bay of Bengal, Rain Chances Low

A new low-pressure area is likely to form today over the west-central Bay of Bengal, says the India Meteorological Department (IMD). It may strengthen in the next 48 hours and move towards North Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Maharashtra, bringing heavy rain to those regions.
Rain Forecast for Tamil Nadu:
While most parts of Tamil Nadu may not see widespread rain, a few districts like Coimbatore and Nilgiris may experience isolated heavy rainfall.
Meanwhile, rain chances in Tamil Nadu remain low, except in Coimbatore and Nilgiris, where isolated heavy rainfall is possible.
