Sabarimala Ayyappa Temple Opens for Purattasi Month Pujas

The Sabarimala Ayyappa Temple in Kerala was opened on September 16 for the Purattasi month pujas. The temple opened at 5 PM, and the Purattasi month rituals will begin from September 17.

The Sabarimala Ayyappa Temple is one of the well-known Hindu pilgrimage centres in Kerala. The temple was earlier opened from August 24 to August 28 for special prayers during the Onam festival. It was closed after the completion of those rituals.

For the Purattasi month pujas, the temple will remain open until September 21. The rituals will be conducted under the guidance of Thantri Kandarar Brahmadathan and Melshanthi Prasad Namboothiri.

Special rituals, including Padi Puja, will be performed during this period.

Online booking for darshan during the Purattasi month pujas is currently available. According to the Devaswom authorities, devotees will be allowed for darshan based on the usual online booking system.
