Police ban public roaming in Besant Nagar beach area during night sessions
With the trend of the increasing thefts reported, the police have banned the public from roaming around the Besant Nagar beach in the night sessions.
On last Friday, 4 mysterious persons tried to snatch the cell phone from Samhar Sar from Kolkata, West Bengal near the Besant Nagar Beach area. A scuffle ensued during which the culprits stabbed the victim with a knife and escaped.
Just an hour before this incident, another similar incident happened when a chain was snatched from a woman.
Since successive similar incidents are happening in this area, the police have banned the public roaming around in the Besant Nagar Beach area from 11.00 PM to 4.00 AM.
