Heavy Rain and Intense Cold Continue in Tirupati-Tirumala

Continuous rainfall and intense cold conditions are prevailing across Tirupati and Tirumala, making it difficult for pilgrims, particularly children and elderly people.

The region has been experiencing heavy rainfall for the past two days. The continuous showers have increased water inflows into local water bodies, while temperatures have dropped, bringing colder conditions across the region.

Thick mist has covered the Tirumala hills, significantly reducing visibility and creating a foggy atmosphere throughout the hill region. The combination of persistent rain, chilly weather and mist has made outdoor movement challenging for pilgrims visiting the famous Lord Venkateswara Temple.

Children and senior citizens are among those facing difficulties due to the prevailing weather conditions. Pilgrims are advised to carry umbrellas, raincoats and warm clothing and take extra care while travelling along the ghat roads.

Rain is also continuing to affect the region under the influence of Cyclone Murasu, which is approaching the south Andhra Pradesh coast. The weather system is expected to bring further rainfall to parts of Andhra Pradesh, including the Tirupati–Tirumala region.

Pilgrims are advised to follow official instructions, remain alert on ghat roads and exercise caution while travelling in rainy and foggy conditions.
