Chennai, May 8, 2026: India’s evolving home interiors market is witnessing the entry of a global player as EBG Group partnered with Carlton London to launch Carlton Luxury Furniture, a new initiative focused on sustainability, longevity, and conscious living.

The partnership was unveiled in the presence of Carl Virk, Founder of Carlton London, and Dr. Irfan Khan, Founder and Chairman of EBG Group. Other dignitaries present included Omkar Navge, CEO of Carlton Wellness Group, Ganesh Kumar, Chief Business Strategy Officer of EBG Group, Ranjitha M, CEO of Brillen Space Engineering, and Sathya Verma, CEO of Tarzan.

As part of its expansion strategy, the company plans to open 600 showrooms across 300 cities over the next five years through a franchise-led model. The initiative is expected to attract investments between ₹1,800 crore and ₹2,000 crore from franchise partners and create nearly 12,000 jobs across India.

The venture also aims to support MSME and SME businesses by integrating them into its supply chain and operations network.

A major highlight of the brand is its sustainability-focused approach. Carlton Luxury Furniture aims to reduce nearly 16,000 kg of carbon footprint annually at scale through sustainable sourcing, efficient production, optimized logistics, and long-life furniture design.

Dr. Irfan Khan, Founder and CEO of EBG Group, said the initiative represents a shift in how India approaches furniture purchases by combining luxury design with sustainability and long-term usability. He added that the brand’s buyback and refurbishment model is designed to encourage conscious living while reducing environmental impact.

Carl Virk, Founder of Carlton London, highlighted the brand’s focus on timeless elegance, craftsmanship, durability, and responsible manufacturing. He noted that every furniture piece is designed with premium quality materials and refined aesthetics while supporting eco-conscious production practices.

The collection includes Chesterfield sofas, high-back chairs, modern dining sets, and bespoke storage solutions suitable for both traditional and contemporary interiors. Each product is designed for a lifespan of 10 to 15 years and comes with maintenance support.

The furniture is made using premium cruelty-free materials, including high-quality leatherette, aligning with sustainable manufacturing goals.

The company has also introduced a unique buyback programme, allowing customers to return used furniture for compensation. Returned products will be refurbished and resold as preloved furniture, supporting a circular economy and helping reduce furniture waste.
