Tamil Nadu Weather Update: Moderate Rain Likely in Delta & Coastal Areas, Heat to Rise Till April 27
The Regional Meteorological Centre Chennai has forecast moderate rainfall across parts of Tamil Nadu, particularly in the delta, southern districts, and coastal regions. The weather change is attributed to a low-pressure area extending from eastern Vidarbha in Maharashtra to the Kanyakumari Sea, along with a cyclonic circulation over the Tamil Nadu coast.
Due to these conditions, districts along the Western Ghats, delta regions, and southern coastal areas are expected to receive moderate showers today.
At the same time, interior districts of Tamil Nadu are likely to experience a rise in temperatures. From today until April 27, maximum temperatures may increase by up to 3°C above normal levels, leading to intensified heat conditions.
In Chennai and its suburbs, the sky is expected to remain partly cloudy. The maximum temperature may touch around 38°C, indicating hot and humid weather despite cloud cover.
