Chennai Police Transfers 34 Inspectors; Commissioner Arun Issues Major Reshuffle

In a significant administrative move, Chennai Police Commissioner Arun has ordered the transfer of 34 police inspectors across various police stations and departments in Chennai. The reshuffle aims to strengthen law and order management and improve operational efficiency within the Greater Chennai Police.

According to the official order issued by the Commissioner, several inspectors from crime wings, law and order units, intelligence divisions, and women police stations have been reassigned to new positions.

Key Inspector Transfers in Chennai

Rohini, Inspector of Koyambedu All Women Police Station, has been transferred to Shastri Nagar Law and Order.

Rajeshkannan, who was in the waiting list, has been posted to Vannarapettai Law and Order.

Kalaichelvi, from the waiting list, has been appointed to the Anti-Goonda Operations Wing.

Velumani has been transferred to Thousand Lights Law and Order.

Transfers from Crime Wing to Law & Order

Several inspectors from the crime branch have also been reassigned:

Anand – Basin Bridge Crime → Harbour Law and Order

Srinivasan – Kilpauk Crime → Periamet Law and Order

Ravichandran – Saidapet Crime → Vepery Law and Order

Kannan – Triplicane Crime → Vadapalani Law and Order

Ranjith Kumar – Egmore Crime → Royapettah Law and Order

Other Important Department Transfers

Ramasamy – Ayanavaram Crime → Chetpet Law and Order

Krishnakumar – Vadapalani Crime → Kumaran Nagar Law and Order

Raj Prabhu – North Beach Law and Order → Teynampet Law and Order

Senthil Murugan – Teynampet Law and Order → North Beach Law and Order

Subramani – Shastri Nagar Law and Order → Intelligence Wing

Rajaram – Vannarapettai Law and Order → Intelligence Wing

Transfers to Traffic, Intelligence, and Central Crime Branch

Several officers have also been shifted to traffic investigation, intelligence, and the Central Crime Branch (CCB).

Notably:

- Lalitha and Velvizhi have been transferred to the newly created Social Media Investigation Wing under the Central Crime Branch.

- Gunasekaran, Manikanda Ganesh, Velraj, Pradeep, and others have been posted to the Central Crime Branch and intelligence divisions.

In addition, inspectors from Rajiv Gandhi Government Hospital Police Station, Seven Wells Crime Wing, and women police stations in Vannarapettai and Pulianthope have also been transferred to the Central Crime Branch.

Overall, 34 inspectors in the Greater Chennai Police have been reassigned as part of this administrative reshuffle.
