A second Emirates flight from Dubai carrying 364 stranded passengers landed at Chennai International Airport on Wednesday. The passengers had been stranded due to disruptions in flight services caused by tensions in the Middle East.
Earlier, another Emirates flight had brought 217 passengers from Dubai to Chennai, helping many travelers return home after several days of uncertainty.
Airport officials said the passengers completed immigration and customs formalities after landing and were later received by their relatives waiting outside the airport.
Due to the regional conflict and temporary airspace restrictions in parts of the Middle East, several flights between Chennai and Gulf countries such as Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, and Muscat were cancelled in recent days.
Authorities have advised passengers travelling on international routes to check with airlines for updated schedules as flight operations gradually return to normal.
