Chennai Ration Card Grievance Camp on October 10 in 19 Zones

The monthly Public Distribution System (PDS) grievance redressal camp will be held on October 10, 2026, from 10 AM to 1 PM at the Assistant Commissioners` offices of the Food Supply and Consumer Protection Department in Chennai`s 19 zones.

The camp is conducted on the second Saturday of every month to help residents access Public Distribution System services easily.

Services Available at the Grievance Camp

Residents can use the camp to request changes to their ration cards, including:

- Adding or removing family members` names

- Changing the address

- Registering or updating a mobile number

Authorisation certificates will also be issued to senior citizens and others who are unable to visit ration shops in person to collect their essential commodities.

The public can also submit complaints about the functioning of fair-price shops and deficiencies in goods or services sold in the private market. Appropriate action will be taken to resolve the grievances.

Documents and Mobile Number Requirements

Services will be processed using the one-time password (OTP) sent to the mobile number registered with the ration card. Therefore, cardholders are advised to bring the mobile phone linked to their registered number when visiting the respective zonal office.
