Chennai Gold Price Today: Slight Drop After Reaching Record High, Silver Rates Steady
Gold prices in Chennai had been surging steadily over the past few days, touching a new record high and shocking jewellery buyers. However, today’s market has witnessed a slight dip in rates.
After sharp increases earlier this week - ₹1,440 per sovereign on Monday, ₹240 on Tuesday, and ₹320 on Wednesday - the price of 22-carat gold had climbed to ₹1,19,440 per sovereign.
Today, gold prices have marginally declined:
₹10 decrease per gram – now ₹14,920 per gram
₹80 decrease per sovereign – now ₹1,19,360 per sovereign
Despite the small drop, gold continues to trade near historic highs in Chennai’s bullion market.
