Central Government: Basic Import Tax on gold increased!

The Central Government has increased the Basic Import Tax of gold from 7.5% to 12.5%!
It is learnt that this increase in basic Import Tax on gold is to reduce the import of gold thereby saving the exchange of foreign currency being spent!
