Chennai Gold Rate Today, November 6, 2026: Gold Prices Fall Again Around 11 AM After Morning Stability; 22K Gold Drops ₹245 Per Gram

Gold buyers in Chennai witnessed another major price change on Friday, November 6, 2026. After remaining unchanged during the morning hours, gold prices declined again around 11 AM, bringing further relief to jewellery buyers.

According to the latest revised rates from the Madras Jewellers and Diamond Merchants Association (MJDTA), the 22-carat gold price has decreased by ₹245 per gram, while 18-carat and 14-carat gold prices have also registered significant reductions. Silver prices have declined as well.

The latest revision was recorded at 10:32 AM, following the earlier morning rate update at 10:04 AM.

Chennai Gold and Silver Rates Today – November 6, 2026

22-Carat Gold: ₹13,140 (-₹245)

18-Carat Gold: ₹10,760 (-₹195)

14-Carat Gold: ₹8,665 (-₹180)

Silver: ₹205 (-₹5)

22-Carat Gold Falls by ₹1,960 Per Sovereign

The 22-carat gold rate has dropped from ₹13,385 to ₹13,140 per gram. As a result, the price of one sovereign (8 grams) has decreased from ₹1,07,080 to ₹1,05,120.

This represents a reduction of ₹1,960 per sovereign.

18K and 14K Gold Prices Also Decline

The 18-carat gold rate has fallen by ₹195 per gram to ₹10,760, while the 14-carat gold rate has decreased by ₹180 to ₹8,665 per gram.

Silver Price Also Comes Down

Silver prices in Chennai have also witnessed a reduction. The rate has declined by ₹5 per gram, from ₹210 to ₹205. Accordingly, one kilogram of silver is now priced at ₹2,05,000.

Will Gold Prices Change Again Today?

With gold prices witnessing another revision around 11 AM after remaining unchanged earlier in the morning, buyers and jewellery traders will be closely watching the next price update.
