Mobile Phone Ban in 52 Tamil Nadu Temples from Today
A mobile phone ban has come into effect at 52 temples across Tamil Nadu from September 1, 2026. Devotees visiting these temples will not be allowed to use or carry mobile phones inside the temple premises.
The restriction applies to several major temples, including those in Thiruthani, Thirupparankundram, Vadapalani and Kundrathur.
The move aims to maintain the sanctity of temple premises and ensure a peaceful environment for devotees.
