A new online facility was launched yesterday, Friday by the City Police Commissioner. This will aid the public in downloading particulars of a case or obtain ‘no-trace certificate’ for any of the documents they have lost. The State Crime Records Bureau called SCRB has developed this facility and it shall be incorporated in the state soon, said officials.

Works regarding the same has been going on for months. This involves feeding all case details including that of criminals, civil accidents, road accidents, etc in a system that will be kept accessible for the public.

During the inaugural event, Seema Agarwal, the SCRB director launched the online facility. With this, public can enter details of their missing original documents such as driving license, passport, registration certificate, etc and obtain non-traceable certificate. He further stated that all the victims or witnesses of road accidents can gain access to all the document proofs submitted. For this, a sum of Rs 10 for each certified document copy is to be paid.

Further, one more system is being formulated where an alert SMS will be sent by the respective police jurisdiction to the witness submitted by police or respondent.
