The Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC), Chennai, has forecast heavy rainfall in 14 districts of Tamil Nadu today (May 30) due to multiple atmospheric circulations prevailing over the Bay of Bengal and Arabian Sea regions.
According to the weather department, the impact of the intense “Agni Nakshatram” summer heat, which began on May 4 and ended recently, is expected to gradually reduce from tomorrow. However, hot weather conditions are likely to continue across several parts of Tamil Nadu today.
At the same time, light to moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning is expected at isolated places across Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal regions.
