Diwali Train Ticket Bookings Completed Within Minutes of Opening

The rush for Diwali train tickets saw bookings being completed within minutes of their opening. This year, the Diwali festival falls on Monday, October 20, and passengers traveling to their hometowns had eagerly awaited the release of tickets.
As per Indian Railways regulations, tickets can be booked 60 days in advance (excluding the date of travel). Accordingly, bookings for Diwali travel opened on the morning of October 17. Within just 10 minutes, all available tickets were sold out.
Tickets for popular trains, including Nellai Express, Kanyakumari Express, Ananthapuri Express, Cheran Express, and Pothigai Express, were fully booked within minutes. With the high demand, most passengers were left with only waiting list tickets.
