The International Kite Festival began at Mamallapuram near Chennai!!
Hello!! Do you know that the International Kite festival is going on at Mamallapuram now?
It is worthy to note that for the fourth time in TN an international kite festival began at Thiruvidanthai Beach near Mamallapuram and it is being organised by the TN Tourism department in association with Media box. This kite festival was launched by the TN ministers Mr. Rajendran and Mr. T.M. Anbarasan.
Time of the kite festival:
Every day from 3pm in the afternoon to 6pm in the evening, the kite festival would take place and it would go on till 17th of August.
On the first day the tourists took photos of the kites flying on their smartphones. The sky above was full of balloons of different shapes like national flags, roosters, sharks, panda bears etc. It must be noted that more than 40 kite artists from countries like Singapore, France, Switzerland, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia etc were divided into 10 teams and they released balloons in the sky.
The kite festival witnessed the presence of several important persons like Chengalpet district collector Sneha, Sub-collector Malathi Helen, MLAs Balaji, Madhusudanan, TNTDC GM Kavitha, Tiruporur Tasildhar Mr. Saravanan, DTO Mr. Sakthivel, Zonal manager Mr. Venkatesan, TNTDC manager Mr. Anbhu plus few others.
