Tamil Nadu Transfers 5 IPS Officers; New SPs Appointed for Thoothukudi and Sivaganga

The Tamil Nadu Home Department has issued orders transferring five IPS officers and making new appointments to key positions across the state.

As per the notification, Abhishek Gupta, who was serving as the Superintendent of Police (SP), Thoothukudi, has been transferred and appointed as the SP of Sivaganga district.

Meanwhile, Siva Prasad, who was serving as the SP of Sivaganga, has been appointed as the new SP of Thoothukudi district.

In another key appointment, Vijayalakshmi has been posted as the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of the Home Guards.

Additionally, Shanmuga Priya, IPS, has been appointed as the Superintendent of Police (SP), Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC), Chennai West Range.

The latest reshuffle is part of the Tamil Nadu government`s routine administrative transfers aimed at strengthening law enforcement and improving police administration across the state.
