Chennai Firm Donates ₹1 Crore to TTD’s Sri Venkateswara Pranadana Trust
In a notable act of philanthropy, a Chennai-based firm has donated ₹1 crore to Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) towards its healthcare initiative, the Sri Venkateswara Pranadana Trust.
The donation was made by Marri Venkata Reddy, Chairman of The Chennai Shopping Mall, on behalf of Marri Retail Ltd. The cheque was formally handed over to TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu at Tirupati.
The Sri Venkateswara Pranadana Trust is a key charitable wing of TTD that provides free medical treatment to economically weaker patients, particularly those suffering from life-threatening illnesses.
Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams, which manages the globally renowned Tirumala Venkateswara Temple, plays a significant role in religious and social service activities, including healthcare, education, and welfare initiatives.
Officials stated that the contribution will further strengthen the trust’s efforts in delivering lifesaving medical support to the needy, highlighting the importance of donor support in sustaining such humanitarian programs.
