LPG Cylinder Booking Gap Increased from 21 to 25 Days by Central Government

The Central Government of India has increased the minimum gap for booking a domestic LPG cylinder from 21 days to 25 days. Under the new rule, consumers can place the next booking only 25 days after the previous cylinder delivery.

This decision was taken due to the ongoing tensions in West Asia, which may affect the supply of crude oil and natural gas. The government has introduced precautionary measures to ensure that LPG distribution remains stable across the country.

The decision was made during a high-level review meeting chaired by Hardeep Singh Puri, India’s Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas. Officials discussed possible supply disruptions caused by issues in the Strait of Hormuz, an important global shipping route for crude oil and gas.

As part of emergency planning, the government is also exploring alternative supply routes for crude oil and natural gas to avoid shortages.

Consumers are advised to use LPG carefully and plan their cylinder bookings according to the new 25-day interval rule.
