Spiritual tour or journey to Amman Temples - Senior citizens in TN invited now!!
Some time back in the Assembly it was announced that every year 2000 devotees would be taken on a spiritual trip to various Amman Temples in the month of Aadi.
Accordingly, in 2024, 1003 devotees were taken on a spiritual trip to many Amman temples in the month of Aadi and 1008 devotees were taken to Vaishnava temples in the month of Puratasi.
It is now revealed that on 18th and 25th of July month and on 1st, 8th and 15th of August month about 2000 devotees would be taken on spiritual tour keeping Chennai, Thanjavur, Madurai, Trichy, Coimbatore, Erode, and Tirunelveli as the headquarters.
Eligibility criteria:
It is worth noting that those devotees who wish to go the spiritual tour must be Hindus and must be between the ages 60 to 70. Their annual income must be less the Rs 2lakhs. The eligible devotees must attach their physical fitness certificates plus Aadhaar or PAN card copy.
From the zonal joint commissioner offices, the application forms could be obtained in person. The application forms can also be downloaded from the department of charities website www.hrce.tn.gov.in. The last date for receiving the applications would be 11th July 2025.
