New Toll-free telephone number to register voter complaint

To facilitate the voters to access required details and also to make complaints, if any, please contact the new toll-free telephone number - 1950.
This has been announced by the Tamil Nadu Chief Election Officer Satyapradha Sahu. The announcement mention:
‘As per the recommendations of the Election Commission, District contact centres have been set up in all the districts in the state of Tamil Nadu. The toll-free common telephone number ‘1950’ will function. Through this, the voter can call and access details such as the status of the new format, the photo voter identity card, the polling booth, and the voter registration officers.
The caller can also give his/her opinions and suggestions. The staff posted at the district contact centre will respond to the questions. This district contact centre functions from the office of the Election Officer. A toll-free number 1800 4252 1859 has been allotted.’
Satyaprasad Sahu has informed that voters can make complaints or give opinions/suggestions by calling this toll-free number as well.
