Private Sector Job Fair in Chennai on August 22, Offering Over 10,000 Vacancies

A private sector job fair will be held in Chennai on August 22, 2026, offering job seekers an opportunity to apply for more than 10,000 vacancies across various industries.

The job fair is being organised by the Chennai District Employment and Career Guidance Centre and will take place at the Government Girls Higher Secondary School in Ashok Nagar from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

According to Chennai District Collector S. Malathi Helen, more than 300 leading private companies are expected to participate in the recruitment drive and select candidates for various positions.

Entry to the job fair is free.

The event will also offer additional career and financial support services, including registration for free skill development courses offered by the Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation, entrepreneurship guidance through the District Industries Centre, and bank loan guidance through the District Lead Bank.

Candidates selected for private-sector employment through the job fair will not have their employment exchange registration number cancelled.
