Weather Update : Thunderstorm Alert Across Tamil Nadu

Another day of thunderstorms is expected across North Interior Tamil Nadu, the KTCC region (including Chennai and surrounding districts), as well as the Delta region, Sivagangai, Ramanathapuram-Pudukottai belts.
Widespread rainfall from overnight thunderstorms has already been recorded in many parts of Tamil Nadu, including the Chennai region. According to Tamil Nadu Weatherman, storms developing over the sea are triggering fresh convective activity in the Chennai city belt (Anna Nagar, Nungambakkam) and adjacent areas.
This pattern is expected to persist today and tomorrow—residents are advised to be alert for localized heavy showers, lightning activity, and brief gusty winds.
