Heavy rains across Tamil Nadu- RMC!!
The news that has emerged out now is that RMC or Regional Meteorological Centre in Chennai has issued heavy rainfall alerts to the southern districts like Tenkasi, Theni, Kanniyakumari, Nilgiris and Ghat areas of Coimbatore etc. It has also confirmed the formation of a low pressure over the Bay of Bengal.
Point to be noted is that heavy rains would occur in isolated places over Nilgiris and Ghat areas of Kovai, Theni, Tenkasi and Kanniyakumari over the next few days.
In the isolated places of TN, Puducherry and Karaikal etc, light to moderate rainfall would take place and this was according to the met dept.
It has been brought to light by data from RMC that Avalanche in Nilgiris dist and Solaiyar in Coimbatore dist received 18cms and 17cms of rain respectively.
According to a popular weather blogger Mr. K. Srikanth, Chennai and its suburban places would not receive notable rainfall in the next few days. The reason for that was due to wind flow from western side that is getting strong.
