Rain Likely in Tamil Nadu Today: IMD Announces 2-Hour Alert

With the Northeast Monsoon strengthening across Tamil Nadu, several regions have been experiencing widespread moderate to heavy rainfall. The India Meteorological Department (IMD), Chennai, has issued a short-term rain alert for the next two hours in nine districts of the state.
Districts likely to receive light to moderate rain
- Chennai
- Tiruvallur
- Chengalpattu
- Villupuram
- Cuddalore
- Mayiladuthurai
- Nagapattinam
- Kanniyakumari
- Tirunelveli
Rain has also been forecast for Puducherry and Karaikal regions until 10 AM on Thursday.
