Tamil Nadu Weather Alert: Heavy Rain Today | Orange Alert for Chennai

A low-pressure area over the Bay of Bengal is strengthening and moving towards Tamil Nadu. Due to this, Chennai, Chengalpattu, Thiruvallur, Kanchipuram, Mayiladuthurai, Nagapattinam and Tiruvarur districts are under Orange Alert for very heavy rain today.
Coastal and southern districts including Cuddalore, Thanjavur, Puducherry, Tirunelveli and Kanyakumari may also receive heavy rainfall with thunder and lightning.
Fishermen are advised not to venture into the sea. People in low-lying areas should stay alert and follow local weather updates.
