Chennai Gold Rate Today, Oct 15: 22K Gold Falls ₹75, Silver Drops ₹5

Gold and silver prices declined in Chennai on October 15, 2026, according to the latest MJDTA rate update released on Thursday morning at 9:39 AM. The price of 22-carat gold fell by ₹75 per gram, while 18-carat and 14-carat gold prices dropped by ₹50 per gram each. Silver prices also decreased by ₹5 per gram.

18-Carat Gold: ₹11,115 (Down ₹50)

14-Carat Gold: ₹8,900 (Down ₹50)

Silver: ₹240 (Down ₹5)

22-Carat Gold Rate for One Sovereign

Based on today`s 22-carat gold rate in Chennai, the price of one sovereign (8 grams) is ₹1,08,120, marking a decline of ₹600 per sovereign.

This price excludes jewellery making charges, Goods and Services Tax (GST) and other applicable costs.

Gold and Silver Prices Decline in Chennai

The latest update shows a broad decline across the gold categories tracked by MJDTA. Silver prices have also fallen compared with the previous rate.
