Velachery Flyover Project Likely Cancelled; Chennai Corporation May Divert Funds to Other Infrastructure Projects
The proposed 3-km-long Velachery flyover from Five Furlong Road to the Guru Nanak College junction has been effectively shelved after the tender process was cancelled.
According to the Greater Chennai Corporation, the project will not move forward in its current form, and the funds originally earmarked for the flyover are expected to be diverted to other priority infrastructure projects across the city.
An official announcement on the reallocation of funds and future plans is awaited.
