Tamil Nadu Rain Forecast: Chennai Weather Update and 5-Day Rain Prediction

The Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC), Chennai, has forecast rainfall in several parts of Tamil Nadu over the coming days. The Tamil Nadu weather forecast indicates the possibility of light to moderate rain, thunderstorms, lightning and strong winds in isolated locations.

The Western Ghats districts and southern Tamil Nadu may receive light to moderate rainfall on October 2. Thunderstorms, lightning and winds reaching 40–50 kmph are possible in some locations. Other parts of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal may experience light rain in isolated areas.

The weather department has forecast the possibility of rainfall across parts of Tamil Nadu over the next five days.

October 3: Light to moderate rain is likely in isolated places in the Western Ghats districts and southern Tamil Nadu. Light rain is possible in other parts of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal.

October 4: Isolated places in the Western Ghats districts and southern Tamil Nadu may receive moderate rainfall, while other areas may experience light showers.

October 5 and 6: Moderate rain is possible in isolated places in the Western Ghats districts and interior Tamil Nadu. Light rain may occur elsewhere, including Puducherry and Karaikal.

October 7: Light to moderate rain is likely in isolated places across Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal.

Chennai Weather Forecast Today

Chennai and its suburban areas are expected to experience partly cloudy skies, with light rain possible in a few locations during the evening or night. The maximum temperature may range between 35°C and 36°C, while the minimum temperature is expected to remain between 26°C and 27°C.
