Chennai Launches City-Wide Anti-Rabies Vaccination Drive
The Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) has begun a massive anti-rabies vaccination campaign for stray and pet dogs, aiming to immunize 1.80 lakh dogs in 50–60 working days. The drive kicks off at MMDA Park, Mattur, with 3,000 dogs to be vaccinated per zone.

Special teams will administer anti-rabies and anti-parasitic injections, supported by 30 trained volunteers. Residents noticing rabies symptoms (like aggression or confusion) in stray dogs are urged to contact the Chennai Corporation immediately.
