Vande Bharat Train Sets Record by Crossing Chenab and Anji Bridges at 100 km/h

The Vande Bharat train has achieved a new milestone by crossing the Chenab Bridge, the world`s highest railway bridge, and the Anji Bridge, India`s first cable-stayed railway bridge, at a speed of 100 kmph.

The 111-km railway route between Katra and Banihal in Jammu and Kashmir had earlier permitted a maximum speed of 75 kmph. The railway administration has now approved an increase in the maximum speed to 100 kmph on this route.

Following the approval, the Vande Bharat train successfully crossed both the Chenab Bridge and Anji Bridge at 100 kmph, marking a new milestone on the railway route.
