Temperature to Rise in Tamil Nadu on March 5–6; Light Rain Likely from March 7
Due to a lower-level atmospheric circulation over the Gulf of Mannar and adjoining areas, along with another circulation over the central parts of the South Bay of Bengal and the equatorial Indian Ocean, warm weather conditions are likely to prevail in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal on March 5 and 6.
According to the weather department, the maximum temperature may gradually increase across these regions during the two days.
Meanwhile, light rain is likely at a few places in the Western Ghats districts and southern coastal districts of Tamil Nadu from March 7 (Saturday) to March 10 (Monday).
In Chennai and its suburbs, the sky will remain partly cloudy on Thursday, with light mist expected in a few areas during the early morning hours.
The weather department also stated that light mist may occur in a few places in the Western Ghats districts and coastal areas of Tamil Nadu on Thursday morning, while Western Ghats districts may also experience light mist on Friday morning.
