Before entering the matrimonial service sector, Dr. Panchapakesan had a distinguished banking career. He served Indian Overseas Bank for over 30 years in various positions across India. Continuing his involvement in literary and cultural activities, Dr. Panchapakesan recently felicitated renowned Tamil writer and Padma Shri awardee Sivasankari with the honorary title "Manitham Potrum Manishi" at a literary function organised by the Uratha Sindanai Literary Forum in Chennai. The event celebrated Sivasankari`s outstanding contribution to Tamil literature and social awareness and was attended by hundreds of distinguished guests. The function reflected Dr. Panchapakesan`s continued encouragement of literature, culture and humanitarian values.
