AMMK Announces 11 Candidates for Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections
With the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections set to take place on April 23, political activity is picking up across the state. As part of the AIADMK-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA), seat-sharing among alliance partners has been finalised the BJP will contest 27 seats, the PMK 18, the AMMK 11, and the TMC 5.
In this backdrop, AMMK General Secretary T. T. V. Dhinakaran on Saturday morning released the list of candidates for the 11 constituencies allotted to the party.
A notable highlight in the list is the inclusion of two former ministers, G. Senthamizhan and C. Shanmugavel, indicating the party’s focus on experienced leadership.

Thiruvaiyaru – V. Velu Karthikeyan
Karaikudi – Therpogi V. Pandi
Nanguneri – R. Isakkimuthu
Ottapidaram (Reserved) – R. Sundar Rajan
Saidapet – G. Senthamizhan
Tirupattur – Gnanasekaran
Mannargudi – S. Kamaraj
Poovirundhavalli – Ezhumalai
Periyakulam (Reserved) – K. Kathirkamu
Madathukulam – C. Shanmugavel
Trichy West – M. Rajasekaran
With candidate selection now complete, the party is expected to begin full-fledged campaigning in the coming days.
