Other features in the Chennai corporation budget – 2014-15

Chennai Mayor Saidai Duraisamy during the budget 2014-15 speech announced Other features.
- 50,000 rainwater reservoirs to be built
- Stray cows and bulls on the road to be removed and shifted 2 cattle centres.
- Electronic segment for the health department
- Diabetes test for pregnant women
- 24 hours Wi-Fi internet in all hospitals
- Sono mammograms for to be provided in 5 regions to detect breast cancer among women
- Special treatment for anaemia for women
- Solar power panels for 16 maternity hospitals
- 32 shifting trolleys for safe movement of women who just delivered
- Provision to detect any deformity or disability among new born children
- Fly0ver construction at junction of Valachery 100 ft road and 5 feet road will be studied.
- Road-signs for all major roads
- Cement concrete roads for buses
- Online facility for several activities – service tax filing, etc
- Self assessment of property
- Rs. 50,000/- award for the best 3 students (10th & +2) from Corporation schools.
