IIT Madras Opens Doors for Open House 2026: 80 Exhibits & Research Centres on Display
IIT Madras has announced that its Open House 2026 will be held from January 2 to 4, offering school and college students, tech enthusiasts, and the general public a chance to explore the institute’s cutting-edge research ecosystem. Under the theme “IIT for All,” visitors will be allowed inside advanced laboratories, innovation centres, and high-tech research facilities.
The event will showcase 80 exhibition stalls, 18 academic departments, 4 national research centres, and 15 specialised research hubs, highlighting emerging technologies and real-world applications developed by IIT Madras.
Last year, nearly 35,000 visitors attended the event; this year, the institute expects up to 60,000 participants due to increased public interest.
