In this scenario, 108 emergency management services have analysed the data and call history belonging to the last 3 years. The objective behind this would be to identify hot spots and to deploy ambulances in high demand locations in Chennai between 19th and 25th of October. It is worthy to note that atleast 30% increase in emergencies is expected now.
It was mentioned by EMRI head Mr. K. Selvakumar that ambulances would reach the locations on Saturday. He spoke about how more than 6500 emergencies are being expected.
According to the analysis it was clear that emergencies were due to burns injury (due to crackers and injuries in the kitchen while making sweets etc) assaults after drinking a binge and breathing issues due to air pollution etc. Mr. Selvakumar later spoke about how high demand locations in Chennai have clusters of houses, apartments or gated communities etc. It has been brought to light that the additional ambulances would have first aid kits and enough medicines etc. All the ambulances have been filled with adequate fuel for 4 days of operations.
From both Chennai and Pudukottai, the emergency response centres would operate in full flow for 3 shifts. Moreover, bike ambulances have also been arranged by the teams for ambulances to reach the congested and narrow areas in the peak hours. To provide medical advice when required, 104 health helpline would function in full flow.
