The long-awaited foot overbridge construction at Pachaiahman Temple Railway Gate (LC-14), located between Koyambedu and Parangimalai Railway stations, has resumed. This project aims to replace the level crossing with an underground pedestrian path, enhancing safety for commuters.
With a ₹2.5 crore budget, the work, delayed multiple times since 2017, is now back on track. The overbridge will reduce the detour commuters face and improve access for residents of Koyambedu, Alandur, and Adambakkam.
