Today and Tomorrow, First ever Kalaignar Centenary Seminar at Kalaivanar Arangam in Chennai!!
Kalaivanar Arangam located in Chennai would be buzzing with activities today and tomorrow. The reason for that is the Kalaignar Centenary Seminar would take place at Kalaivanar Arangam. It must be noted that the chief minister of TN Mr. M.K. Stalin would release a special flower.
Information gathered is that to appreciate the creativity of an artiste with poetic and literary talent Sahithya Academy has joined hands with Jawaharlal Nehru University- Special Tamizh Department to organise first ever Muthamizh Arignar Kalaignar Centenary Seminar today and tomorrow at the famous Kalaivanar Arangam in Chennai. The chief minister of TN would release a special flower on the occasion and deliver a keynote address.
It is learnt that in the opening ceremony Sahitya Academy Secretary Mr. Srinivasarao would deliver the welcome address. Jawaharlal Nehru University VC Shantisree Dulipudi Pandit and poet Mr. Vairamuthu would deliver the special address.
Programme details for Today & Tomorrow:
In the small hall on the third floor in Kalaivanar Arangam in Session 1 titled Poetry poet Imayam would speak on the topic `Shining Star` and Tamilachi Thangapandian would speak on the topic `The Kalaignarin Poems from Poetic Perspestive`. Mubeen Sadhika would speak on the topic `Kalaignarin Poems: Politics and Beauty".
In session 2 titled Fiction, Mr. Natarasa Pillai would speak on the topic `Ponaar Shankar Pudhinam` from a conceptual perspective. Mr. Bharathipalan would speak on the topic `Social Equality on Kalaignarin short stories`. Mr. M. Ramesh would speak on the topic `Writing Business Relations in Romapuri Pandiyan Way`.
In session 3 titled Classic, Mr. Maraimalai Elakuvanar would speak on the topic `The Specialty of Kalaignarin Thirukuralurai` and MP Mr. Ravikumar would speak on the topic `Silapadhikaram`.
Tomorrow in session 4 titled Drama, Mr. Murugesa Pandian will read an article titled `The Ideology of Dravidian Movement from Kalaignarin Plays or Dramas`. Mr. Ravi Subramanian would read an article titled `M. Karunanidhi plays/dramas that brought taste of Tamil even to common people". Likewise, Mr. Ramraj would read an article titled `Kalaignarin plays that Perform Opposite Identity Politics`.
In session 5 titled Thiraivasanam, Mr. Subramani would read an article titled ` Kalaignarin Thirai Mozhi: Literary Glory in Raja Rani. Mr. Chandrasekaran would read an article titled `Kalaignarin Drama- Film language` etc.
In session 6 titled Speech, Mr. Ramamoorthi would read an article titled `Kalaignarin Letters Structured by Poetic Qualities` Mr. Adhiyaman would read an article titled `Political History as Kalaignarin histotory` and Mr. Sankara Saravanan would read an article titled "Youth and Kalaignar"
It must be noted that at the closing ceremony Kanimozhi, MP would deliver the keynote address. Mr. Rajendran, former VC of Tamil University would deliver the closing address. Vote of thanks would be delivered by Mr. Damothran, Sahithya Academy Tamil Advisory Committee Coordinator.
