The Tamil Nadu government is taking huge efforts to ease the traffic congestion in Chennai. In this regard, flyovers are being constructed in Chennai are well known to us.
At a cost of Rs 164.92 cr, construction of flyover is going on in the busy south Usman Road and CIT Nagar Main Road in the Kodambakkam zone in Chennai. It is now said that this flyover at CIT Nagar would accommodate about 40,000 vehicles every day.
It was revealed by the press release from GCC that to reduce traffic congestion in GCC 13 new bridges at a cost of Rs 246 cr have been constructed in the last 4 years. It added that 17 new bridges are being constricted at a cost of Rs 676.29 cr.
The bridge or flyover that is being constructed at CIT Nagar would ease the traffic congestion in areas like south Usman Road, Park Street, Madeley Road Junction, Southwest Bock Street, New Bock Road junctions and CIT Nagar north road junction. The superb piece of information is that this upcoming flyover could accommodate 4000 vehicles per day.
